Back in September 2013, AIGA Santa Barbara hosted Michael Schwab for his “Evolution of a Style” career overview and Q&A. Schwab created a unique promotional poster especially for that event, and that poster (titled “Creating the Hero” by AIGA SB then-president Patty Devlin-Driskel) recently won a silver award in the yearly Graphis competition. AIGA SB congratulates Michael Schwab on his win!

We also commend designer (and past AIGA SB board member) Irene Hoffman for her work on the poster’s direct mail version, as well as AIGA SB sponsor V3 Printing/Packaging/Direct Mail for printing and distribution to all AIGA SB members prior to the event. “Michael Schwab: Evolution of a Style” was our flagship event for 2013 and we’re thrilled that it inspired this creation of award-winning work.
