Exceptional Print & Packaging Designer Position
Job Description:
Makers & Allies is currently seeking to add an exceptionally talented mid-level print & packaging designer to the team. We are in search of a highly creative designer with branding experience in the alcohol & beverage industry and a dedicated passion for their craft. M&A designers possess the ability to generate highly original concepts and have an outstanding sense of design style paired with an incredible eye for detail. If you’re a kick-ass designer with a passion for unique wine, craft brew, and barrel-aged whiskey we’d love to take a peek at your portfolio.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the generation of creative concepts, both independently and in team collaboration.
+ Work effectively to translate creative direction into exceptionally executed design solutions within specified timelines and budgets.
+ Facilitate communication of print production projects with M&A select print vendors.
+ Confidently present and articulate creative concepts, designs, and ideas.
+ Stay current on design knowledge and trends, specifically in the print & packaging space
+ Act as a true collaborator and culture builder of a quickly growing design studio.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 2+ years experience creating both large and small-scale print and/or packaging projects, particularly in the wine, craft, and spirits industry.
+ Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and other relevant design tools (web/digital design skills are a huge plus)
+ Advanced knowledge of print production and necessary art preparation process
+ Strong conceptual ability and able to communicate ideas and concepts
+ Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects
+ Detail oriented and able to stick to client and internal deadlines
+ Extremely meticulous with design details, materials and print production quality
+ Positive attitude and an inspiring work ethic
+ An outstanding and well curated online portfolio
+ Passion for the wine, craft bev and spirits industry
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Design or other relevant major
Bonus Points:
+ web/digital design experience
+ copywriting and storytelling skills
+ video and photo post-production experience
+ interior design or 3D design experience
Design Intern Position
