MOI (MARK OLIVER, INC.)
We specialize in food and beverage consumer packaged goods branding, packaging design, identity creation, and branding programs. Clients of our 35 year-old Solvang-based firm have included Fortune 500 giants such as Diageo, General Mills, and PepsiCo.
They also include innovative startups and firms in the natural foods industry, such as Kashi and Back To Nature. Frankly, we have a lot more fun with them—and innovative creative that sells products is the usual result. So that is what we are showing.
Upon the request of our CPG clients, we also provide marketing, environmental design, advertising, and collateral creation. We advise in the development of new food and beverage products, including strategy, positioning, and ideation.
WHY MOI
We are a group of design and marketing professionals who share a common viewpoint that good design sells products. Our success is the result of a process that unites defined marketing objectives and information with strategic thinking and creative sensitivity.
We explore the cognitive and emotional processes that guide human behavior and use this information to create break-through packaging and brands. The firm was a pioneer in the use of emotion-generating visual cues in CPG marketing.
The success that our clients experience is also the result of our partnership with them. We contribute to the process of planning, constructing and managing brands by working closely with our clients.
By giving us a greater role in the life cycle of their brands and products, they are able to more efficiently compete in the marketplace. The result of this symbiotic relationship is a brand more attuned to an every-changing marketplace.
MOI has been the recipient of more than 430 awards from every major design organization and industry publication. Examples of the our work are included in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. Look for more of our work in the Communication Arts Design Annual 51 and the 2011 Graphis Design Annual.
