Portfolio Day 2015: Creativity Thrives in the 805

Cost is $15 to present your work, or $10 to be an observer.

UPDATE: As of 4/29 our observer slots are all full and we cannot take any more observer registrations.

Registrants, be prepared to show five to 10 pieces of your best work in graphic design, illustration, photography, multimedia or web design, or film and animation (please do not pick more than two categories). Let us know what categories of work you will be showing and what format you will be presenting—on a board, in a book, or on your laptop or tablet (videos can be shown on a large media projector).

Once registered, a member of AIGA Santa Barbara will contact you to coordinate your technology needs and answer any questions you may have about the event.

Student registrants: please watch this space for more info related to this event as we get it.

SAFTEY NOTE: Because the event is being held on a working sound stage, Brooks requires that everyone wear closed toed shoes; no open-toed shoes or sandals. It’s a OSHA safety requirement.

Previous student attendees on AIGA SB Portfolio Day:

"Sophomore year of college was the first time I attended AIGA SB Portfolio Day. From knowing nothing about the design career path I wanted to go into and how to create a portfolio, this event was a great first step. After attending portfolio day for the past three years, I've built an invaluable design network, created a portfolio catered to product design and brand identity, and landed a top job right out of college in the Bay Area. Drive, passion, and persistence is key! Be humble. Take the time to learn from the professionals who are meeting with you at this event and keep in touch with them."

"AIGA Portfolio Day gave me valuable insight on my work from top industry professionals. It helped bridge the gap from the classroom to the field and allowed me to refine my presentation and communication skills. Portfolio Day is a key experience to the development of any creative student."

Cal State Channel Islands, Class of 2014
