Julie Green Williams, Table Rock Productions, Inc
Julie started her career as a junior publicist for Norman Lear’s Tandem productions, working on twelve of his top-rated shows, including, “All In the Family”, and the “Jeffersons”. From there she moved to ABC’s Special Projects handling press junkets and talent publicity bookings. Next she founded Table Rock Productions, a full service production company delivering short and long form programming to various pay TV networks.
The company then branched into other areas, including electronic press kits for many of the major studios and projects for Disney Theme Park Productions and Imagineering. Museum work followed, for the J. Paul Getty Center, including its Visitor Orientation Film. Julie also produced, with Billy Crystal directing, the highly acclaimed Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves, a permanent exhibition at the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance.
Rachel Kay, Rachel Kay Public Relations
Rachel runs a boutique agency providing strategic public relations, social media conversation counsel, and grassroots marketing programs for emerging brands and Web start-ups. Her clients include Honest Foods, Cleatskins, Mary’s Gone Crackers and BellyBar.
Prior to starting own firm, she managed corporate communications for Brickfish, a social media-advertising network, promoting corporate initiatives and client-focused ad campaigns for many of the nation’s most prominent brands, including Frederick’s of Hollywood, Samsung, Kodak, and Clinique.
Before joining Brickfish, she also worked for national PR agency, Formula, where she supervised the consumer products and services team on brands including Kashi, FruitaBu, and ConocoPhillips.
Kay contributed an exhibition entitled; “Leveraging New Media to Share Your Message,” to the 10th edition of Cutlip and Center’s “Effective Public Relations,” one of the nation’s most widely used public relations textbooks for the university level. Currently she is working on commercials and additional media for national campaigns such as the 3Day Breast Cancer Walk for Susan G. Komen and the Port of Long Beach campaign, Thinking Outside the Docks.
Maureen “Mo” McFadden, McFadden & McFadden
Maureen first opened her doors in Santa Barbara over 18 years ago, specializing in the arts, non-profits, and entertainment companies for specific events. Her clients have included the Santa Barbara Film Festival and the Lobero Theater.
In addition, she has worked on both sides of the P.R. fence – as a writer and press agent – giving her a highly qualified approach in presenting stories to the media. Her client group has recently expanded to include Antioch University and the Maiani Gallery in Montecito. She has been a guest speaker at WEV (Women’s Economic Ventures) on PR & Marketing for many years as well as High School career days and UCSB’s Communication Association.
In her prior life she wrote for The Hollywood Reporter , worked as an account executive at Rogers & Cowan and toured the U.S. & Canada for two years on rock ‘n roll tours. McFadden grew up outside Philadelphia, and lived in D.C. and New York City before landing on the West Coast.
Jonatha King, founder of King Communications
Jonatha brings close to three decades of communications, management and marketing expertise in print, radio, corporate public relations and non-profit organizations to our panel discussion.
Her firm has been named one of the Tri-County’s Top Public Relations Firms for eight years running by the Pacific Coast Business Times. And Jonatha was included in the Pacific Coast Business Times’ 2009 inaugural list of “Who’s Who in Advertising, Marketing and PR”.
Jonatha has also worked on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C. and with Roger Ailes of Roger Ailes & Associates public relations out of New York.
Some of her clients include: Montecito Bank & Trust, the City of Santa Barbara Airport, the Santa Barbara Contractors Association & Built Green Santa Barbara. She sits on the Board of Directors for Unity Shoppe, Delta Broadcasting and former Junior League of Santa Barbara Board Member. Jonatha has been a member of the Santa Barbara Executives Round Table, Santa Barbara Business Alliance, Santa Barbara Foreign Relations Committee and National Association of Female Executives.
