Indigo Dip-Dye Workshop

Join us for a collaboration between AIGA SB & local maker & illustrator Joya Rose: an afternoon dip-dying indigo in the park!

UPDATE 6/21: RESCHEDULED. We're back on! Our Indigo Dip-Dye Workshop will now take place this Saturday, June 25 at Tucker's Grove Park in Goleta. See new event details at left.

UPDATE 6/17: Unfortunately, we must postpone this event due to the Scherpa fire, which is now burning too close to the event venue at Dos Pueblos Ranch for us to conduct the workshop. However, we are not canceling altogether. Attendees, please check your email boxes for details. We apologize for the inconvenience but will have new information soon. Thanks for your patience.

UPDATE 6/16: Event attendees: as of right now, our Indigo workshop is still on for 6/18 at the DP Ranch Greenhouse, despite the Scherpa fire. Our event venue is in the standby evacuation area, but so far everything is fine. We will keep you updated with what we know!

UPDATE 6/13: This event is officially sold out! Attendees, keep an eye on your email box for updates ahead of Saturday's workshop.

Participants will spend the afternoon dip-dying a set of two pillowcases with one of the oldest & most used dyes known to man. Cloth dyed with indigo has been found in crypts in the pyramids of Egypt, and from even earlier—and it is the dye still used to dye denim today. We’ll learn about the magical properties of indigo, dye some beautiful pillowcases, sip on some cocktails, & make new friends.
