AIGA SB at Facing Forward Exhibition

The AIGA100 Facing Forward exhibition opened with a VIP preview on Tuesday, Feb 18th at AIGA’s headquarters in New York City.

The concept for the exhibition was inspired by the fact that AIGA’s earliest members were encouraged to bring their own Windsor-style chairs for meetings and events. AIGA Chapters were invited to customize the skin of a Real Good Chair from Minneapolis-based Blu Dot.

Santa Barbara Chapter’s design concept was based on a classic creativity test: members were invited to submit alternative uses for a chair and this text was then used to outline the shape of a Windsor chair.
